The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

Artist's Description
Neuron, fluorescence light micrograph. Neurons are responsible for passing information around the central nervous system and to the rest of the body. A nerve cell comprises a central nerve cell body surrounded by numerous extensions. Most of these are dendrites, which collect information from other nerve cells or from sensory cells. Each neuron also has an extension called an axon, through which information passes outwards to other nerve cells and muscle fibres. This neuron was cultured in the laboratory. It is a primary mouse hippocampal pyramidal cell filled with green fluorescent protein (GFP).
