Artist's Description
Milky Way over coast, vertical 180-degree panorama. This panorama passes vertically from one horizon to the other through the zenith, showing the Milky Way in the night sky. At centre is the large asterism known as the Summer Triangle. The points of this triangle consist of the three bright stars Deneb, Vega and Altair. Deneb (top corner) is in Cygnus, Vega (centre right) is in Lyra, and Altair (bottom left corner) is in Aquila. The three rocky islands in the sea (lower centre) are the Tas de Pois formation off the Pointe de Pen-Hir headland, Finistere, Britanny, France. Photographed in September.
