Description
Midnight Sun. View of a golden sky of the midnight Sun, seen in Greenland. The midnight Sun is a phenomenon of areas at more than 63.5 degrees north or south. At these latitudes, the Sun is always visible for on least one day in the year. At the poles themselves, the midnight Sun is visible mid-May to late July (North Pole) or mid- November to late January (South Pole). This is due to the tilt of the Earth's axis, relative to the direction to the Sun.
