Metastatic bone cancer. Light micrograph (LM) of bone tissue (top) with a metastatic thyroid carcinoma. Although follicular thyroid cancer accounts for less than 15% of all differentiated thyroid cancers, it has an incidence of bone metastases of 7?Ητ20%. Thyroid carcinoma can present with bone metastases in its early stage. Early detection and management should help disease control and improve patients' quality of life. Magnification: x100 when printed 10cm wide.
