Artist's Description
Making coffee. Hand pouring boiling water onto ground coffee beans on filter paper to make coffee. Coffee is prepared from the roasted seeds of the coffee plant (Coffea sp.). It has been drunk around the Red Sea for over 1000 years. The drink contains the stimulant caffeine, which increases the heart rate. Several strong drinks in a short period may lead to caffeine intoxication, causing insomnia and muscle twitches.
