Artist's Description
Magnetic field of Uranus, illustration. The axis of rotation (shown in red) of the planet Uranus is tilted 98 degrees from the 'upright' compared to other planets in the solar system. The planet's rings are shown in white. The magnetic field (with magnetic field lines shown in blue) is tilted at 60 degrees to the axis of rotation, and is offset from the planet's core. This means that the magnetic field rotates with the planet every 17 hours (large blue arrow at left).
