Louisiana wetlands restoration project. Worker by pipes being used to pump sediment to restore an eroded coastal marsh wetland area in Louisiana, USA. This is the Lake Hermitage Marsh Creation project, and the sediment pumped here has been dredged from the Mississippi River. Coastal wetlands are important buffers against storm damage in New Orleans and other cities to the north. Photographed in November 2012.
