London landscape at dusk. View along the River Thames, London, England, of the Hungerford bridges (foreground) and the landmarks beyond. Famous landmarks include the London Eye (centre left, on the south bank of the Thames, completed in 1999), and Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament (far right). The Hungerford Crossing consists of three bridges. The central iron railway bridge dates from 1864, but the two cable-stayed bridges either side (rods and cables seen here) are footbridges completed in 2002. The three bridges seen further upstream are: Westminster Bridge, Lambeth Bridge, and Vauxhall Bridge.
