Shuttle Landing. Night landing of the Space Shuttle Endeavour at the end of Mission STS-72 on 20 January 1996. The crew were Brian Duffy, commander; Brent Jett, pilot; and mission special- ists Daniel Barry, Leroy Chiao, Winston Scott and Koichi Wakata. Wakata was from Japan's National Space Development Agency. During this mission, which began on 11 January 1996, the Japanese Space Flyer Unit satellite was recovered. The shuttle crew also released and recovered the American Office of Aeronautics and Space Technology Flyer satellite. Photographed on Runway 15 at the Kennedy Space Centre's Shuttle Landing Facility. This was the third night landing at this facility.
