Close-up of the face of a dew covered female keeled skimmer dragonfly (Orthetrum coerulescens) having spent the night on a grass stem in a damp water meadow habitat. Often found around pools and streams in acidic heath land, this species is found in western Britain, Europe and the palearctic ecozone. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in July.
