Artist's Description

Jupiter, JunoCam image. The Great Red Spot is at upper right in this view of Jupiter's southern hemisphere. NASA's Juno spacecraft arrived at Jupiter in July 2016. It has been orbiting Jupiter, gathering information about the planet's atmosphere, magnetic field and gravitational field. The image data from its JunoCam are made available for processing by citizen scientists. This image was obtained on 12 February 2019, during perijove 17, and processed by Kevin M. Gill.
