Description
Jack Kevorkian (1928-2011), US physician and voluntary euthanasia activist. Kevorkian, nicknamed 'Dr Death', campaigned for the right for terminally ill patients to die by physician-assisted suicide. He was arrested in 1999 for his role in a case of voluntary euthanasia. He was convicted of second-degree murder and spent eight years in prison before being released on parole in 2007. Here, he is speaking at a press conference in Southfield, Michigan, USA, a few days after his release from prison.
