Artist's Description

Honey bee mouth-to-mouth feeding. This method of feeding in honey bees (Apis mellifera) is being studied by researchers as a possible facilitator of colony collapse disorder (CCD). CCD is the sudden disappearance of worker bees from a colony. The cause is poorly understood, but may be due to a combination of factors, such as mite infestation or various viruses.
