Description
Handley Page bomber in the USA. A Handley Page O/400 bomber, photographed at Frankfort, New York, USA, on 15th October 1918. The O/400 (or H.P.12) was a twin-engined biplane designed by the Handley Page Company in England. An improved version of the earlier O/100, it entered service with the newly-established Royal Air Force in April 1918 and served until replaced by the Vickers Vimy in 1919. 107 O/400s were built under licence in the USA by the Standard Aircraft Company.
