Gulf temperature. Satellite image of the east coast of North America (green, upper left), showing the sea surface temperature (SST) of the Gulf of Mexico in winter. Image produced using data obtained by the AMSR-E (Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer-EOS) instrument on NASA's Aqua satellite on 1st January 2007.
