Description
Glass manufacture. Drop of molten glass during an industrial manufacturing process. Glass is mostly sand (silica), and also soda (sodium bicarbonate) and lime (calcium carbonate), as well as traces of other minerals. The soda and lime help to lower the melting point of the sand. The molten glass can be shaped into a variety of desired shapes and then allowed to cool, forming a solid, brittle and transparent material.
