Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

Dr Gertrude Elion, US biochemist and pharmacologist and winner of the 1988 Nobel Prize for medicine. This was in recognition of over 40 years of work in developing a range of drugs to fight leukaemia, malaria, gout, organ transplant rejection, herpes virus infection and bacterial infection. Elion shared the prize with Dr George Hitchings, a colleague at Burroughs-Wellcome Research Laboratories in the U.S. since 1945 and Sir James Black, of Kings College Hospital Medical School, London.
