Former ICI Hillhouse works that manufactured chlorine based chemicals and plastics. During WW2 chlorine production was started and was later used in the production of polyurethanes and other polymers. The factory was decommissioned in the late 1990s and is now the site of the Hillhouse international enterprise zone. Thornton-Cleveleys, Lancashire, UK, 1996.
