Forested landscape in autumn. This conifer forest (centre right) is next to a river and surrounded by rural fields and heather-covered moors and hills. Some of the trees have turned a light brown colour that shows that they are larches (Larix sp.), one of the few conifer trees that loses its leaves in the autumn. Sheep are seen in the fields. This is the College Valley, Cheviot Hills, Northumberland National Park, England.
