Microscope exhibition. Engraving of a microscope exhibition held during the 19th century. The exhibition was devoted to the wonders of the microscope" and consisted of 100 microscopes which were used to look at various specimens. Engraving of the exhibition held by the Society of Apothecaries in London, UK, during 1855. This exhibition capitalised on the public's interest in scientific matters. Famous visitors included Robert Stephenson, Sir Joseph Hooker and Michael Faraday."
