Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

E. coli bacterium. Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of Escherichia coli bacterium. E.coli are Gram-negative rod-shaped bacteria that are part of the normal flora of the human gut. Some strains produce a toxin that causes severe diarrhoea and can be fatal, especially in the very young or elderly. The hair-like tendrils are the flagella, which the bacterium uses as propellers to move around. Magnification: x 25, 000 when printed at 10 centimetres high.
