Description
Marigold petals. Marigold flower and cut and dried marigold petals (Calendula officinalis). Infusions of these petals are used in herbal medicine for treating wounds, as they reduce pain and have a mild anti-inflammatory effect. They are also applied to bee or wasp stings. Drinking an infusion of marigold flowers helps to reduce a high temperature, as it promotes perspiration.
