Ginkgo leaves. Cut and dried leaves of the maidenhair tree, Ginkgo biloba, for use in herbal medicine. Clinical studies have shown that ginkgo leaf extract increases blood flow to the brain and body, improving memory, metabolism, circulation problems, and may even counteract the effects of aging. It may be used to treat Alzheimer's disease. The tree was sacred in Ancient China. It has since been introduced around the world.
