Description
Male contraception. Demonstration of the correct use of a condom. Condoms are made of a sheath of fine latex rubber or plastic; they are usually about 17cm long and are lubricated for ease of application. They normally have a teat at their end to hold ejaculated sperm. The condom should be carefully rolled onto the erected penis before intercourse. The tip should also be squeezed as it is rolled on, so that no air is trapped in the end; this prevents the condom from bursting when ejaculation occurs. The rim of the condom should be held close to the penis when it is withdrawn from the vagina, which should be done after orgasm but before the erection subsides.
