Artist's Description

MODEL RELEASED. Cultured cells. Cell biologist studying cultured cells by phase contrast light microscopy. The cells, seen on the monitor screen at left, are precursors of human bone cells. Phase contrast imaging reduces the colour saturation of objects, allowing greater detail to be seen.
