Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

Cosmotron particle accelerator. The Cosmotron at the Brookhaven National Laboratory, Long Island, New York, was the first proton synchrotron to come into operation, in 1952. The protons were first accelerated to 3 MeV in a Van de Graaf generator & were then injected into the doughnut" of the main accelerator, where they were raised to an energy of 3 GeV. The Cosmotron ceased operations in 1966. The photo was taken in 1959."
