Microprocessor manufacture. A machine placing connections from a microprocessor to surrounding circuit parts. The connections are thin gold wires, these are welded to the chip and the outside circuit by an ultrasonic device. Gold is used for its conductivity, ease of use and its resistance to corrosion.
