Description
This drawing, circa 1504, by Leonardo da Vinci is of the surface anatomy of the leg of a man. It also includes a comparison of the hip and thigh muscles of a man and a horse. Though some details are considered inaccurate, it is noteworthy as a study of corresponding muscles under different mechanical conditions.
