Description
Cells stained for proteins. Fluorescence light micrograph of cells stained (pink and blue) for the cytoskeletal proteins actin and tubulin. Cell nuclei (orange and green) are also highlighted. The cytoskeleton of a cell consists of protein filaments and microtubules that control cell shape and contribute to cell movement. The colours in this image have been inverted from the original.
