Transmission electron micrograph (TEM) of the ultrastructure of a liver cell (hepatocyte) in the anaphase stage of mitosis. Chromosomes are separating and migrating towards the opposite poles of the cell. A new nuclear membrane will be assembled in the cytoplasm to enclose the chromosomes in late anaphase-telophase. Magnification: x3,300 when printed at a width of 10cm.
