Capillaries, light micrograph. Interconnected network of capillaries showing their very thin walls composed of endothelial cells with elongated nuclei. Often the capillary diameter is narrowed and similar to the size of the red blood cells. The accompanying tissue is developing skeletal muscle. Paraffin section, haematoxylin-eosin stain. Magnification: x320 when width printed at 10cm.
