Description
Butanoic acid, molecular model. Also called butyric acid, this chemical is a carboxylic acid. It has an unpleasant smell and acrid taste, and is found in butter and parmesan cheese. This model shows the atoms (spheres) connected by bonds (rods). One double bond is present. The atoms are colour-coded: carbon (black), oxygen (red), and hydrogen (white).
