Brazillian landscape. 19th century artwork of a tropical tree in Brazil. Two tribesmen are tending a fire at the base of the tree, and birds are seen flying overhead. This artwork is by Jean-Baptiste Debret (1768-1848), a French painter famous for his depictions of the people and landscapes of Brazil in the period from 1816-1831. This artwork was published in his book Voyage pittoresque et historique au Bresil (1839).
