Brazil-Bolivia border. Satellite image of the border between western Brazil's Acre province (upper left) and northwestern Bolivia's Pando Department (lower right), showing the difference in land use and development practices. Brazil has opened up this part of the rainforest to farming and settlement. Whereas this part of Bolivia preserves its native rainforest. Image acquired by the Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) onboard NASA's TERRA satellite, on 2nd July 2008.
