Description
Brain blood vessels, fluorescence deconvolution micrograph. Fluorescent dyes have been used to highlight tissues and cellular structures and proteins: blood vessels (bright green), connective tissue (dark green), cell nuclei (blue), cytokine (yellow). These small blood vessels are capillaries, and this tissue sample is from a region of the brain called the substantia nigra. Cytokine is a signalling protein used in cellular communication.
