Bomb disposal robot. The Remotec HD-1 robot preparing to pick up an object. This robot is built by Northrop Grumman, an American defence and technology company. It is equipped with a colour camera, all-terrain caterpillar tyres and a telescopic arm with grabbing pincer. The robot is designed to be agile in rough terrain and to dispose of dangerous objects, such as bombs. Robots such as the HD-1 are known as Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) vehicles. Photographed in New Mexico, USA.
