Astronaut Sherwood Spring snaps together beams in the EASE experiment (Experimental Assembly of Structures in Extravehicular Activity) during the flight of shuttle mission 61-B on November 25 to December 3, 1985. Construction of space structures by astronauts operating from the shuttle is an important element in NASA's planned space station.
