Approaching hurricane. Dark storm clouds of Hurricane Gustav approaching New Orleans, USA. Gustav caused serious damage and casualties in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, Cuba and the United States. It caused at least 8.5 billion dollars (USD) of damage and triggered the largest evacuation in United States history, with over 3 million people fleeing their homes. Photographed in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, on 31st August 2008.
