Antique garden sundial. This is a horizontal sundial design, with winged cherubim. The sundial itself is inscribed with Roman numerals and a compass rose. Local apparent time (apparent solar time), is shown by the shadow cast by the gnomen. Photographed at Polesden Lacey, an Edwardian country house near Great Bookham, Surrey, UK.
