Albrecht Kossel (1853-1927), German physician, cell biologist and Nobel laureate. His full name was Ludwig Karl Martin Leonhard Albrecht Kossel. He was awarded the 1910 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine. The Nobel was awarded for Kossel's work on cell proteins and nucleic acids. Photograph from the 1926 Benedict Report, published the same year.
