MODEL RELEASED. Cryopreservation in stem cell research. Researcher handling stem cell samples that have been preserved at low temperatures, a process known as cryopreservation. These are human cell cultures, being stored as part of research into induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines. The research looks at human cell responses to drugs, supporting the development of new drugs. This research is being carried out at Roslin Cell Sciences, Roslin BioCentre, Edinburgh, Scotland. Roslin Cell Sciences was created in 2016 as a subsidiary of Roslin Cells. Photographed in 2016.
