Mount Etna volcano erupting at night and throwing out pyroclastic material in the form of lava (molten rock). Mount Etna rises 3323 metres from the Italian island of Sicily, and is the largest active volcano in Europe. Photographed near Monte Frumento Supino (a cinder cone) during the eruption on 26 October 2002.
