Artist's Description
Crash testing. High-speed photograph of crash test dummies in a car during a front impact test. The doors have been removed to show the movement of the unbelted rear passenger in this family car. The driver is protected by a seat belt and an air bag. Film of the crash, along with analysis of damage to the car and sensor readings from the dummies, could be used to improve passenger safety. Photographed in the Impact Test Facility (ITF) at the Transport Research Laboratory (TRL), England.
