Description
Vault cytoplasmic ribonucleoprotein, molecular model. This molecule is made up from proteins and RNA (ribonucleic acid) and has a 39-fold symmetry. It is an organelle found in the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells. Its function is not known although it is thought that it may be involved with the transport of RNAs from the nucleus to the cytoplasm through nuclear pores. This vault protein is from a rat liver cell.
