Description
Escherichia coli heat-labile enterotoxin, molecular model. This is one of several proteins produced by pathogenic E. coli bacteria in the intestines. Unlike the heat-stable enterotoxin, this one is inactivated at high temperatures. The toxin causes diarrhoea and can be fatal in severe cases. This protein consists of three subunits with a total of seven chains and a total of 329 amino acids.
