Artist's Description
Crash testing. High-speed photograph of crash test dummies in a car during a frontal impact test with a deformable barrier. The car was travelling at 64 kilometres-per-hour. This is one of the tests carried out for the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP), an independent rating of the safety of popular European cars. Footage of the crash, along with analysis of the damage to the car and sensor readings from the dummies, will be used to assess passenger safety. Photographed at the Transport Research Laboratory (TRL), UK.
