Description
Volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) ore deposit. This deposit was formed when the area was underwater. The sulphide minerals precipitated out of hydrothermal fluids. VMS ore deposits are rich in a number of metals including gold and copper. Photographed at the site of a former copper mine, Macalder, Kenya.
