Artist's Description
Fuel cell power station. View of the interior of a power station driven by phosphoric acid fuel cells (PAFC). The fuel cells in this plant can produce up to 1.3 megawatts of electricity through chemical reactions. They are enclosed inside the two large tanks. Fuel cells are clean and efficient power sources and are hoped to become an alternative to larger, more costly power stations. This is the PRODE plant in Milan, Italy.
