Artist's Description

Pterosaur, Coloborhynchus, artwork. Coloborhynchus is a genus of pterosaur that lived during the Early Cretaceous, 98 million years ago. It had a four metre long wingspan. It is shown here on the ground using its wings as a pair of front legs. It is thought that pterosaurs used all four limbs when on the ground and were able to walk, run, hop and lift off into the air.
