Artist's Description

Iodine clock reaction. This is the start of the experiment. A clear solution of potassium iodide, sodium thiosulfate, and starch is added to a clear solution of hydrogen peroxide with sulfuric acid in the conical flask. A digital timer is set to start at this point to determine when the chemical equilibrium has been reached. The solution will then be a dark blue/black.
